Dear Robert

Along with the Lady Captain, Helen Pickles, I have been at the club for the past three days, more or less full on. Firstly Monday 3rd as guests of Rob Eastwood and Small Beer Ltd and then Tuesday 4th and Wednesday 4th as hosts to England Golf for their Senior Series and Captains Golf respectively .

Well, in all this time, I have never ever seen the club buzzing as in the past three days. All the visitors from far afield were extremely well recieved and had the benefit of playing on a great golf course. The comments I kept hearing, great course, fantastic food, superb hospitality and friendly welcome. A credit to the cub and also all the member volunteers / helpers for the past two days during England Golf Events.

Well done to everyone, including Adele and her team. This has taken up a lot of her time to deliver such high quality but certainly not in vain.

May I just thank all at Lincoln Golf Club for the great reception we had on Friday for the juniors competition for the Jennings and Peggoty Trophies. Our juniors, as always, were delighted with the choice and quality of the venue. We too were very pleased with the venue and also the food that we received.

We found the course to be in good condition and enjoyable to play.   All day long, we were made to feel most welcome by everyone.

Hi Craig 

As you know I only joined this year and as per of our conversation you asked that I give you feedback.

So far I can only say what a pleasure it has been to have joined such a fantastic club. Members all welcoming. Pro shop couldn't do enough for you. Bar and catering fantastic. Course never too busy and course a credit to the green keepers. 

I played in the charity day today and what a day. Organised so well and the ladies did a fantastic job and the half way hut. Course was unbelievable again. I played with three members from other courses and they couldn't speak highly enough of the course and everything mentioned above. It was my pleasure to bring them and get such fantastic feedback.

Normally a miserable sod so the praise means ten times more!!!!

I was so proud (never any other courses I've been a member) to call it my home golf club. Hats off to all involved and they all did the club so proud as heard nothing but praise all day from numerous guests.

Firstly, congratulations on organising an excellent event again. I visited last year and the guys I brought with me this year all agreed it was well worth the journey.

Could you convey our thanks to your starter, course helpers and excellent halfway house - lovely cakes! The pace of play was fantastic, quite often in Open competitions one experiences longer rounds, I recently endured 3 days of 5 hour plus rounds in the Heathland Classic, it becomes tortuous!

The course was in stunning condition, particularly considering the heavy rainfall, you are so fortunate to have free draining soil, we are built on clay at Cosby and the difference is quite marked, but it still takes a huge amount of work, so well done to your Greens Team.

I am sure we will return next year, and possibly even for some Senior events.

Prior to playing both you and Carol in the office have always given excellent service on the telephone and were a pleasure to talk to at all times. Thank you for all your help.

What a great day we had. Again all staff were brilliant, both in the kitchen and the bar. We had coffee and bacon before golf and a lovely meal afterwards.

The course is excellent and is a credit to the green keeping staff. Some of our members have played across the world this year on many different courses and everyone said that your greens were some of the best they had played on this year, particularly for October, they were superb.

On behalf of Saxilby Golf Society i would like to take this opportunity in thanking everyone connected with Lincoln Golf Club our appreciation for hosting a number of events during 2015.

From our Society days which included the John Armstrong Memorial  Trophy. John was a member of the Golf Club to yesterdays Surprise 80th birthday. The welcome our Members receive is second to none.

The team you have at Lincoln is well appreciated.  If you can pass on out thanks to Adrian,Russ,Andy,Carl and Arron who keep the course in magnificent condition. Lee,Sam,Chloe and Jane for serving our needs, The food is first class and i have visited many places this year that have mentioned this to me. To Ashley,Julie and David who greet everyone with a smile and can't do enough for you. Finally Carol and your good self whose co-operation and help in getting the days sorted and the administration behind the scenes does not go unnoticed.

I know many of our Members are Lincoln Golf Club Members but for the others it is a venue they most look forward to playing. At yesterdays 80th birthday many of the visitors were from other clubs in the County and were all in praise of the welcome the condition of the course and the breakfast served prior to golf. 

This reflects well for the club and no doubt they will go back to there clubs and spread the word that you must go to Lincoln Golf Club.

We had a great day, thanks ! The course was, as ever in great condition ( greens were excellent ) ! The food was great, and the man upstairs looked after us with the weather as well !

Firstly, many thanks for your hospitality at our recent Match Play Championships; the event was an outstanding success and that was no small part to the support of the Lincoln GC – the course was in excellent condition. 

Moreover, please pass on my thanks to all those involved including the membership who are inconvenienced by our presence – their support of the RAF is much appreciated.

We really hope you will continue to host our events as Lincoln GC has been a great venue and host for us over many years.

I must thank your club for accommodating the England Golf Captains’ event so well yesterday. 

It was clear all your staff laboured hard to make the day a success. 

Specific examples were the young waitress who served many self-opinionated officials from visiting golf clubs with charm and enthusiasm to the end. 

Not charging for a pot of tea ordered at the bar was also simple evidence of superb customer service. 

Well done Torksey – you were a super host!

The friendliness from the moment we arrived to the moment we left was fantastic!

Everything was brilliant, the golf course was fantastic (greens staff deserve the credit for this) food amazing (please pass on our thanks to the catering and bar staff, it was absolutely perfect and plentiful!!), the company we had to play golf with were lovely, we look forward to our chance to host a return game but you have set the bar very high and hope we can do you justice, please pass on our comment to the relevant staff, they are a credit to your club!!

I would just like to thank your golf club for the way you treated us today.

We are visiting you again in May with our golf society...Admiral Rodney (Calverton).

Even though it was cold and windy today the four of us thought that the course was superb.

From the moment we arrived and greeted by the lady in the pro shop - to the wonderful food in the club house.

It was a great day and we cannot wait for May and hopefully warmer weather.

Good Evening,

Having spent a great day at your lovely Club I felt that I needed to drop you a line.

I have visited countless Clubs over the years and most recently with my Golf mad 12 year old son Sam and have to say that Lincoln Golf Club is quite probably the most friendly Club I have ever visited.

Every person we spoke to from the Chef this morning serving us our sandwich, to the delightful Ladies on the registration desk, John on the first tee, the team in the Half way house and the staff in the Clubhouse, all had a smile on their face and clearly had a passion for what they were doing.

Unfortunately we come across some prejudice in Junior Golf and have had some uncomfortable visits to other clubs in the past, Lincoln could not have been more different.

Most people only seen to  make an effort to write when they have a complaint, I feel it's only right to write also if you have had a good experience.

Please can you pass on our thanks to all involved today and also to the greens staff for the condition of the course.

We look forward to returning for the next Junior Open at the end of March.
