We have numerous singles competitions listed for the mens section, mainly on Saturdays, throughout the year but also on Sundays and midweek too. There are also a number of winter competitions organised which place more emphasis on team formats due to the shorter daylight hours.
There are a number of friendly matches which take place mostly through summer months of the year with for example, the Club playing against Sherwood Forest GC, Coxmoor GC, Holme Hall GC but to name a few on a home and away basis. There is an online facility available for interested members to register their interest/availability for these matches.
The Ladies’ Section at Lincoln Golf Club has around 80 playing members and is supported by an active Committee, with valuable assistance from our Club Administration Team.
We pride ourselves on being a welcoming and inclusive section, open to women of all ages and abilities. A ‘buddy’ system is available for new members, helping them to settle in and feel part of the Club.
Our Competitions Team organises a varied programme of events throughout the year-the main competition day being Tuesday. These competitions take place in the morning, but they remain open all day for those who are unable to play at that time, ensuring as many members as possible can take part.
Recognising that Tuesdays do not suit everyone, additional opportunities to play in competitions are available at weekends through our alternate‑day system. This flexibility allows members with different schedules to stay involved and enjoy competitive golf.
Alongside our 18‑hole events, we also offer 9‑hole competitions, including a regular Tuesday 9‑hole competition with an option to play in the evenings in the summer months. These shorter formats provide accessible options for newer golfers, those returning to the game, or anyone seeking a quicker round.
A wide range of formats is offered throughout the year — Medal, Stableford, Knockout and Pairs competitions — ensuring there is something for everyone, whatever their experience or preference.
For those who enjoy team golf, our Match Secretaries oversee a number of teams representing the Club. Our lower handicap players compete in the Lincolnshire Women’s Golf Association (LWGA) Scratch League, and we also field A and B teams in the LWGA Handicap Leagues. In addition, we arrange a programme of friendly matches, including both ladies’ and mixed fixtures with neighbouring clubs
Members who prefer a more relaxed approach can enjoy social golf and book tee times online.

At Lincoln Golf Club we recognise that Juniors are the future of our Club and aim to provide opportunities for Juniors of any age, both boys and girls, to play and enjoy golf. We have the facilities and the coaching to help them develop their skills and knowledge in the game of golf in a safe and welcoming environment and, for those who to, we also provide opportunities to gain a handicap and play in a variety of competitions. We are delighted to be a recognsied HSBC Golf Roots Centre of Excellence as part of our commitment to Junior Golf.
